Story of Garlenda
GOLF CLUB GARLENDA is located in the valley of Lerrone river, one of the most picturesque valleys in the inland of Liguria, and it is surrounded by ancient olive yards and pinewoods.
From the highest "hole" you will enjoy a marvellous view of the seaside and of the Marittime Alps. Garlenda is the ideal place for a plesant stay thet involves golf as well as other entertainments because it is close to Alassio, which is surely an attraction for the tourists, and Albenga which is an historical - artistical site.
The 18 holes golf course, which was opened in 1965, has been designed by architects Morrison and Herris, who wonderfully blended it in the local landscape without altering the environmental characteristics.
The course covers 6085 mt., it is Par 72 and, from the Championship's Tee, it gives the most skillfull players a hard test and offers a plesant challenge from the players from the normal Tees.
Throughout the years the Club has always improved its technical level and it is open all the year round. The Club Hause is very nice, it has a games room, a snooker room, a nice guest house, it has been recently enlarged.
In the summer there is a nice opened air swimming pool. There are two horse races centers in the neighbourhood, from which you can enjoy beautiful rides, going up the valley, to the untouched woods and to plesant village surrounded by olive yards.
