The Villa Candido is just fifteen minutes by car from the sea, nestling cosily in the small village of Villa Guardia. The detached house offers ample space for eight people, with its four bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, spacious living room and beautiful garden, where you can sit, relax and admire the glorious sunset. And if you should need a break from all the sunbathing, don\'t hesitate to make use of the fine pavilion.

Olive trees everywhere, interspersed with vegetable fields and vineyards: this is how the territory of Pontedassio looks when you arrive from the direction of nearby Oneglia, or from the Dianese area through the Grillarine Pass or along the main road from Piedmont. Lying in the middle of the Impero Valley, Pontedassio is an old agricultural centre that grew in mediaeval times due to the bridge and its central position in the valley, which made it a link for communications and commerce on the mule-track running parallel to the river. Not very common at that time, olives started to be widely cultivated in the fifteenth century, reaching land coverage a little over a hundred years ago, like the Vermentino and Pigato vineyards.


Although property expansion has not always respected the architectural heritage of this old town, there are still some delightful sights to see, such as the fourteenth-century towered house of the Dorias or the parish church of Santa Margherita, whose original Romanesque form is embellished with Baroque decorations. It preserves paintings by Guglielmetti, a local artist. Eighteenth-century Villa Agnesi, recently acquired by the local council, played an important part in the social and economic history of Pontedassio: the Agnesi family, businessmen known in Italy and abroad, founded the first pasta factory in a mill on the banks of the river, just outside the town.

Also to be seen outside the town is the tower of Santa Lucia, which was built in the twelfth century to protect the road leading to Castelvecchio di Oneglia.
Bastagno is a town lying on a ridge along the old transit road. The main church in the Impero valley is the Romanesque church of San Michele Arcangelo, while the parish church of San Sebastiano dates from the eighteenth century. The castle, which is now reduced to a few ruins, was the northernmost bulwark in the Oneglia defence system.
Pontedassio biscuits are very well known. Bastagno holds a local "rostelle" festival (when you can taste spit-roasted goat's meat), while Villa Viani holds its own snail-eating festival. At the "Mari e Monti" festival held at Villa Guardia on 20 and 21 August the specialities on offer are frogs and eels.

Avoid the autostrada and take the coast road, unless you need to cover a long distance in limited time. Aus unserer Sicht keine. Dies war ein eher preisgünstiges Objekt für Familien. Sollte keine höherwertige Ausstattung haben. Der Garten war ziemlich vertrocknet. Es wäre lediglich schöner gewesen, wenn er etwas häufiger gegossen würde. Ein etwas hygienischerer Grill wäre wünschenswert. Dolcedo, wenn man gerne auch im Urlaub nur unter Deutschen ist, ansonten ist es ein Ort der so malerisch ist, dass es schon fast klischeehaft wirkt. Bussana Veccia wenn man es gerne romantisch mag. Arma di Taccia hat eigentlich den nettesten öffentlichen Strand. Von dem netten Restaurant weiß ich leider den Namen nicht mehr.

es war sehr schön in dem Gärtchen, aber ein kleienr Pool würde es perfekt machen (gerade im Sommer) Die Altstadt von Porto Maurizio (Imperia), sowie eine Tour mit dem Auto auf's Geradewohl durch das Hinterland mit dem Auto ist sehr zu empfehlen Vielen Dank! Ihre Seite mit den vielen schönen Unterkünften werden wir auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Non, la maison était complčte, bien aménagée. La seule chose que je pourrais signaler c'est qu'il n'y avait pas beaucoup de bols. Il serait pratique de mettre une cafetičre électrique, car les petites cafetičres ŕ expresso étaient un peu trop petites pour 8 personnes. Mais ŕ part ça, rien ŕ signaler. Le village d'artisans ŕ bussana vecchia, le marché de ventimiglia et celui d'impéria, la promenade jusqu'ŕ la cascade dans un petit village dont le nom m'échappe, la sortie en bateau depuis le port d'impéria pour aller en mer voir les dauphins et baleines, et l'acquarium de gęnes. Et beaucoup d'autres... J'aimerais vous remercier pour vos services. Toutes les personnes que j'ai contactées étaient trčs aimables (par mail, au téléphone, la dame qui est venue faire le ménage le dernier jour). J'ai découvert votre site par hasard, et j'ai été trčs agréablement surprise! Je vous félicite pour tout. Je garde votre adresse de site pour mes prochaines vacances, mais dans une autre région. Direkt am Hafen in Imperia die Pizzaria ganz links hat sehr leckere und große Pizzen. Es war ein super schöner und erholsamer Urlaub.

Da wir traumhaftes Wetter hatten, haben wir und wenig drinnen aufgehalten :) Die Küchenausstattung könnte an der ein oder anderen Stelle aufgestockt werden: kleine Küchenmesser ("Pittermesser", hatten wir selbst mit), Brotmesser (haben wir da gelassen), ggfs. eine Kaffemaschine (haben wir nicht wirklich vermisst, da ja zumindest ein Filter vorhanden, sowie diverse Mokka-Bereiter. Handfeger & Kehrblech waren zumindest anfangs nicht komplett. TV: die Astra-Sender konnten nicht empfangen werden (auch kein Minus, da gutes Wetter!). Ansonsten: nicht luxoriös, aber sehr schön!! (insbes. Garten / Pavillon). SEHR SCHÖN!! Das Textildach des Pavillons ist z.T. schon eingerissen, da es u.a. mit Draht fixiert wurde. Swimming-Pool :-) (o.k., kleiner Scherz, aber schön wär's schon ...) Strand: Andora Bummeln: Diano Marina Olivenöl: "Dino Abbo", Lucinasco (und natürlich Isnardi in Pontedassio) Essen: "Panorama Dianese", Evigno - Diano Arentino --> sehr einfach (es gibt keine Karte!), aber super liebevoll: am besten das Menü essen - viele selbstgemachte Antipasti, Pasta, Carne etc. Man wird satt! Wir sind sehr zufrieden. Die Buchung und Abwicklung via Web war sehr easy. Das Haus entsprach der Beschreibung/ Bebilderung: einfach, aber wunderschön (insbes. der Garten). Die Lage des Hauses fast ideal: nicht weit weg vom Meer, aber WEIT weg vom Tourismus. Sehr schön italienisch ...

Mehr Küchengegenstände(Teller,Schüsseln, Reibe), noch zwei oder drei bessere Decken und Kopfkissen War alles gut, aber noch einen mobilen Sonnenschutz (Sonnenschirm), weil es sehr sonnig war. Auch ein Baum wäre schön gewesen Einfach loslaufen und ins Dorf nach oben rauslaufen (kein konkretes Ziel). Herzlichen Dank für die reibungslose und perfekte Online-Betreuung. Immer einen zweiten Schlüssel (bei 8 Personen) gleich mitgeben (haben wir auf Nachfrage auch bekommen)

Schöne Orte: Apricale, Dolce Aqua, Cervo, Albenga. Sehenswert auch die Tropfsteinhöhle bei Toirano(?). Durch ihre Agentur fühlten wir uns sehr gut betreut und wir werden sie weiterempfehlen. Das Objekt selbst hat uns aber nicht zugesagt.
