The main factor influencing the weather in Liguria is its location between
the mountains in the north and the sea in the south. The climatic influence of the
Gulf Stream and the protection of the 2000m mountains results in a climate that is
mild throughout the year.In Winter it is extremely rare to have temperatures under
zero. The summer is marked by mild temperatures. For example in July the
temperature rarely rises over 29řC which is ideal for bathing while also
allowing the pursuit of sports. What makes the weather in Ligurian special
is the fact that the range of temperatures throughout the year is not so extreme
as in other parts of Italy and Central Europe.
